Dear Valued Clients and Partners,

As the COVID-19 virus continues to impact our country, Humphreys has shifted to a fully remote work environment. Our employees are settling into their new routines, virtual meetings are happening, and drawings are being printed. Even though Humphreys has typically functioned in traditional office environments, we were pleased with how quickly we were able to transition to remote work. This was due to the incredible efforts of our IT staff and all of our employees embracing the unexpected and urgent change.

As we all navigate these uncertain times, we appreciate your continued business. We look forward to when we can sit across the table with you again.

Stay safe and healthy.

March 22, 2020

Dear Valued Clients and Partners,

Effective MondayMarch 23, at 11:59 PM through April 3, Dallas County has ordered a “shelter in place” for all Dallas County residents, which also requires non-essential businesses to cease all activities at facilities located within Dallas County. Humphreys’ Dallas offices will close at 5:30 PM on Monday and remain closed until April 3 unless the order is extended. Our employees are already prepared to operate in a remote work environment. At this time, Humphreys Orlando and Houston offices remain open although future closure is likely imminent. We will provide further updates as necessary.

Please know we remain committed to serving you in every way possible. We will get through this together.

Stay safe and healthy.

Dear Valued Clients and Partners,

Our Costa Mesa, Los Angeles, and Uruguay offices remain closed as well. Dear Valued Clients and Partners,

In response to the State of California’s statewide “stay at home” order, effective immediately, Humphreys’ offices in Los Angeles and Costa Mesa will transition to a remote work environment. As we have indicated in previous communications, Humphreys and its affiliates are prepared to continue operating from remote work locations. You will still be able to contact us through our normal phone numbers and email addresses.

We appreciate your continued business and look forward to serving you during this unusual time.

March 19, 2020

Dear Valued Clients and Partners,

In an effort to keep you updated on our response to COVID-19, please be advised that our Uruguay office is currently transitioning to a remote work environment primarily due to having two confirmed cases of COVID-19 of people who work in the same building where our offices are located. We have no confirmed cases within our company itself.

On Tuesday, local health officials in Orange County, California issued a confusing order regarding which businesses could remain open. This initially lead us to believe we had to transition our Costa Mesa and Los Angeles offices to a remote work environment. Late on Wednesday, a new order was issued that clarified the restrictions, and our offices will remain open at this time.

Humphreys and its affiliates are prepared to continue operating from remote work locations when it becomes necessary or mandated. You will still be able to contact us through our normal phone numbers and email addresses, and we are making every effort to maintain normal business operations. If operations are further impacted, we will let you know.

Thank you for your continued support during this emerging and unprecedented situation.

March 13, 2020

To all of our valued clients and partners,

As you are aware, the World Health Organization (WHO) declared on Wednesday, March 11, that the spread of COVID-19 has become a pandemic, which refers to the global reach and impact COVID-19 is currently presenting. Humphreys & Partners Architects, and its affiliate businesses, is committed to providing a safe working environment for all of our employees. At the time of this letter, none of our office locations have experienced any impacts but Humphreys is taking steps to prepare in the following ways:

  1. In-person meetings will be limited, beginning Monday, March 16. We will conduct all meetings for the next 30 days via Go To Meeting. We will reassess this policy again in 14 days.
  2. All air travel will be limited, beginning Monday, March 16. You will be contacted if air travel to your project’s location is impacted and alternate arrangements will be made to ensure our temporary absence from job sites does not affect construction progress. At this time, local projects within a reasonable driving distance will not be impacted.
  3. Many of our employees have the capability to work from home, including receiving emails and phone calls. In the event we work remotely, you will still be able to call us on our regular numbers or reach us via email.
  4. It is possible that our production levels may decrease if COVID-19 directly impacts any of our locations. We will be sure to keep you updated if this occurs. We are currently evaluating all options to maintain normal levels of productivity, wherever possible.
  5. We will continue to monitor updates from the CDC and other government agencies closely.

It is our hope that by proactively sharing our plans it will ease any concerns or questions you may have. Should you have any follow-up questions regarding this subject, please feel free to reach out to us at marketing@humphreys.com.

Thank you for your business. We wish you the best possible outcome for this unfortunate situation.
